Because of the increase in the renewal fee, a lot of small liquor businessmen have stopped selling liquor and have no work to do now. On the other side, the liquor consumers are also quite annoyed with the increase in price of liquor. The liquor consumers believe that whether it’s the matter of education for the children or of the country or society, the burden of responsibilities is put on them. Now the state government has taken pledged to save Bovine, its conservation responsibility is also on the shoulders of the liquor consumers. The liquor consumers are of the opinion that they are ready to take responsibility of conservation of Bovine. But it’s also necessary that the benefits of liquor consumers should also be conserved if they are ready to deal with any situation pertaining to the society or country.
Liquor consumers will have difficulty, businessmen will have profit the new liquor policy of the state government has created a financial problem for the consumers. This policy will be applied from 1st of April 2019. Though this policy will have additional burden on the pockets of the liquor consumers, it’s going to benefit liquor businessmen. Reason being one will have to shell out additional one rupee for a quarter, two rupees for half and three rupees for a bottle of alcohol. With this Government’s dictate, the liquor businessmen will be benefited. The reason is although the Government is increasing the price by one, two and three rupees on liquor, the liquor businessmen will charge straightaway five rupees from the consumers. The liquor consumer won’t be able protest of this increase in price.

The Cheerrs.com team spoke to some of the liquor consumers who were purchasing liquor from the government liquor shop in Civil Line area of Azamgarh city. “It’s very unfortunate that the number of liquor consumers in India are far more that in any part of the world, irrespective of their background. We (liquor consumers) don’t have any organization. And because of it, there is no one to fight for our benefits. That’s the reason why the government has decided to put the burden of Bovine conservation on us (liquor consumers). The whole society and country’s load in put on our shoulders as if we ((liquor consumers) are the richest in the country. Though, we don’t have any reservation to shoulder such burden, the government should also consider the fact that we alcoholics, who work for the benefit of the society and country, should be provided with certain facilities which are beneficial for us,” said Durgesh Singh, a liquor consumer.
