Beer Consumption In Punjab Sets New Record
Alcohol is the most common psychoactive substance used by Indians. Making a statement in response to a calling attention motion introduced by BJP MP RK Sinha, Social Justice and Empowerment minister Thawar Chand Gehlot said over 16 crore people in the country consume liquor.
Gehlot said the findings were part of a national household survey conducted by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in 2018. The household sample survey covered all the 36 states and union territories of the country
