The name of the country liquor that has wreaked havoc in many homes in Barabanki is Power House. By consuming this ‘Power House’, three sons of Chotte Lal died, he worked as a peon in a bank. His sons had bought a bottle of this very power house and and after consuming it they died. These were all daily wages laborers. This Power House showed four people of the same house, way to heaven. Now what will happen to this family, manufacturers of ‘Power House’ will not be effected by this.
The officials of Barabanki’s excise department and the police have not yet been able to tell, which company manufactures this liquor named Power House and how this liquor reached the villages of Barabanki. The responsible people of Barabanki Police and Excise Department are silent on this matter, and it happens after every scandal. Like every incident the government machinery after sometime will do nothing and the matter will be brushed aside, because people who died were alcoholic, but there is no one to say that these liquorers pay highest tax to the government in the form of revenue, and the same government is pathetic towards them.

On the other hand, in the other villages of Barabanki, the villagers are amazed, how the poisonous liquor is being sold at the government shop. The image of the police is such that it is tarnished every day. On the Roadways bus station at Barabanki , many people told reporters that they never thought that excise department would become so corrupt that illegal country liquor would be sold on government contracts shop.
Chote Lal was drinking ‘Power House’ on Saturday night and on Sunday morning there was tremendous pain in his stomach. On Sunday evening, those people re-consumed this power house thinking that it will cure the pain. According to his wife, from Sunday night onward, Chote Lal and son began to suffer unbearable stomach ache. They went to the doctor but he could not tell anything. By then her husband’s eyesight had gone. He asked for water, his wife called her sons to give water, but they too had died by drinking power house. Apart from these painful deaths, many other people have also bought this power house from the same shop, and are now battling for life and death.
