Every year after March, when the new stock comes, the flavour of the Hundred Pipers changes, as well as the prices. Every year liquor consumers are cursed to bear the inflated price imposed by the government. There is no one to listen, not even the government that generates huge amount of revenue in the form of taxes through liquor. Why does the taste of liquor change as prices rise, no shopkeeper has the answer?

Several liquor consumers made such complaints on Sunday at the liquor shop in the basement of the Yashwant Singh Palace in Chanakyapuri, South Delhi. All of them said the same thing that in the beginning of April every year, the liquor disappears from the shops, somehow it is available from mid April, and that too on inflated prices and changed taste.
A consumer Ravi Singh said that the taste of the Hundred Pipers has never been so bad as it was this time during April. This time, its taste is worse than the last time. In this regard, when two more consumers complained to the shopkeeper, he clearly said he has nothing to do with it, file your complain in the company.

Hundred Pipers is a popular brand of Seagram company, and because of its taste, it is popular among liquor consumers. But the consignment that comes in April is very bad in taste, last year too the same thing happened in April. A liquor trader from Lucknow said, that the taste of the supply that comes from the Indore plant in April, is similar. When the supply will start from Meerut in UP, its old taste will return.

But the truth regarding supplies being carried out from Indore in April and then in the subsequent months from Meerut is not certified. No explanation has been given on this behalf from the company, while it has been informed about it. Liquor consumers fear that when liquor is not being supplied in April, then there is some other company that supplies it rather than Seagram, thats why the real taste is missing.
