During elections, the liquor industry has embraced the form of a cottage industry. The way big companies have started online business to reach their customers, on the same pattern, through mobile phones, the people running raw liquor breweries are delivering illegal liquor to their customers at the location of their choice.
Regarding Liquor-Every State Has Its Own Law
This business is flourishing in the Lok Sabha elections. Due to its low prices, demand for raw liquor has increased in the election season. In this illegal business, the involvement of police and excise department cannot be ruled out. This is the reason, why every year the State Government is losing billions of rupees in revenue along with the loss of life. The local police and excise department does have information if not complete, regarding the sale of such liquor. But due to the illegal transactions between liquor traders and the local administration this business is growing like cottage industry in all the villages.
Illegal Raw Liquor in Vantangiya’s Heartland
On one side, from this illegal business, the raw liquor traders are progressing day by day, while people consuming it, often fell prey to untimely death. There are high number of poor laborers who are fond of drinking this type of liquor. Due to low rates, these people consume it and fulfill their passion for liquor. It is said that a bottle of raw liquor is available in 40 rupees which is sufficient for two or three person. Perhaps they even know how much risk is there in consuming this type of liquor, but because of their addiction and poverty they are forced to consume it. These people sometimes lose their lives due to spurious liquor. Few days back only dozens of people in Kushinagar, Saharanpur and Azamgarh had lost their lives after drinking such kind of liquor.
