15 people died in the village of Shivpur, Kheda Mughal, Vilaspur, Dankowali and Nafepur in the village of Deoband tehsil of the district. Most of the people who died were from Shivpur village, four people died in Kheda Mughal. The relatives of the deceased said on Thursday that Rs. 2 lakhs have been provided to only three deceased Raju and Kala of Nafepur and Baldhira of Shivpur. Regarding remaining 12 people, SDM Deoband Ritu Poonia said on Thursday that financial assistance can be given only after receiving the inquiry report of the dead.
The family condition of Matha,a resident of Kheda Mugal village is miserable. Her son Nitu told, that the administration has not given her father’s post-mortem report. Mangal and Sayendra’s of the same village also died due to poisonous liquor. Mangal’s son Madan and son of Sayendra, Popin said that they do not even have money to pay school fees of their children. In Shivpur village, Dhanpal and Vinod also died after consuming poisonous liquor. Vinod’s son Rajneesh (14) said that his father was the only earner in the family. Rajneesh said that his and his siblings school fees could not be deposited. The administration is not taking any care of them.
The son of deceased Dhanpal, Amit Kumar, has accused of administrative neglect. On 12th February Baldheera of this village also died because of poisonous liquor. His son, Amit Kumar, said on Thursday that the post-mortem report showed death due to poisonous liquor, yet no assistance has been provided from the administration. The death of Dharmpal, resident of Shivpur village, was also caused due to poisonous liquor. There is no one who earns in his family. Son Shravan Kumar said that the administration had not yet given the post-mortem report, due to which he is deprived of administrative assistance. How will he marry his two sisters, only God knows.
Women’s pain
After the deaths due to poisonous alcohol, the suffering of women, of the afflicted family has started to rise. Women have made up their mind to teach a lesson on drinking alcohol, but they fear that they do will beaten if they stop their husbands. The concern of the women has increased after the 10 deaths in the Taryasujan and Sevarhi area of the district. Chiraiya (35) said that whenever her husband comes home after drinking alcohol he beats her up when she tries to stop him from drinking. Mamta (40) said that whenever her husband drinks and come home, there is a dispute . After this incident, we will now create a group and oppose the drinkers, and we will not offer them food. Gangaiya (50) said that now we will not tolerate it. Lamunia (40) also has the same story.
