Not only man, crops are also becoming addicted to alcohol and the effect of addiction is such that the yield increases up to one and a half times. These claims are made by the farmers who sprinkle liquor on the crops. The matter is very interesting, many farmers of Chidhawa in Sikar district of Rajasthan are sprinkling country liquor in pulse crops, farmers say that the country liquor addiction enhances yield rather than hollowing the crops. Although agricultural scientists are not accepting the claim , but they are definitely talking about research on it.
On the other hand, farmers of Siber in Rajasthan are doing regular spray of liquor and rum on the pulses like in the past. It is being heard for the first time, the news of wastewater being used in the vegetables have been there before, but there is a need to think about how the cultivation of alcohol effects our health and the health of the land. The trends of the use of this Jugadu technique is increasing rapidly, not only in this area but in the farmers of the entire state.
On the other hand, the farmers claim that when they are spraying pesticide on the pulse crop, the bad impact of these pesticides also effects the body of the farmers and many times the farmers also fall ill. Farmers also say that pesticide medicines are very expensive in the market and country liquor is cheap. They say that about one hundred rupees is spent if they spray alcohol on one bigha of agricultural land, whereas the cost of spraying of pesticide on equal agricultural land is approximately Rs 500.
