According to Balbir, adding proportionate quantity of alcohol in the pesticides and spraying it over the crops saves it from the insects and the outcome is bumper crop production.Balbir is using country liquor in pesticides for the past six years.

Mr. Rajendra Kumar

When our correspondent talked to Etawah’s district horticulture officer Mr. Rajendra Kumar about the benefits of mixing alcohol in the spraying material for crops, he told that the potatoe crop sprayed with country liquor is not profitable, and the taste of the potatoe also gets spoiled. He also told that potatoes produced by spraying of alcohol with pesticides deteriorates faster when kept in cold storage. He appealed to strictly stop the spraying of this type of substance. He said that if this type of experiment is done by the farmers without any advice then it would be difficult to estimate the serious damage to crops produced. He said that it will be good to stop such a tradition.
