Two liquor vends looted in Rupnagar

RUPNAGAR: Four unidentified people looted two liquor vends in Rupnagar district on Saturday night. According to information, the first incident took place around 8:15 pm at Pathreri Jattan village falling under the SinghBhagwantpur police station where four persons, who came on motorcycles, looted ₹32,200 at pistol point from employees of a liquorvend. They also took away mobile phones of the employees.

DSP(investigation) Varinderjit Singh and Singh-Bhagwantpur station house officer(SHO) Balwinder Chaudhary police reached the spot and started investigations in the case.

The second incident took place at Kandhola Tapprian village falling under Chankaur Sahib police station where four unidentified persons, who also came on bike, looted about ₹75,000 at pistol point from the employees of a liquor vend and fled towards Sndhuan village.
