S.I Killed By Liquor Mafia

Illegal liquor took another life, this time a Sub Inspector of Delhi Police became victim of illegal liquor mafia. There is strict vigil in Delhi, but it is limited to only a few areas. In East Delhi, i.e. in trans Yamuna area, illegal liquor mafia rules the roost. Frequent face off with the police is common and this time SI Rajkumar was assassinated. The police has arrested the accused Vijay alias Bhuri.

According to the relatives of deceased , on Sunday night at 9.30 pm Rajkumar went out to stroll, during this, he witnessed illegal liquor trade activity at Kasturba Nagar Chowk, and he started making video of it. Seeing this, Bhuri turned violent and started fighting in the meantime he brought the scissors from the nearby shop and stabbed Rajkumar many times. The injured SI daughter somehow took him to hospital but he was declared dead in the hospital.

In Vivek Vihar, SI Rajkumar who lost his life protesting against the illegal liquor business, was target for the people associated with this business. People linked to illegal liquor trade threatened to kill himfour days ago and they killed him.In fact, a large number of people in Kasturba Nagar of Vivek Vihar do illegal business of liquor and narcotics. SI Rajkumar opposed it. A police booth was built near Kasturba Nagar Chowk in December 2018 to stop illegal liquor business. The accused suspected that the police booth was made on the complaint of SI and the police was conducting raids on their bases.

According to the police, Rajkumar’s wife Shashibala told that four days before four women who had been involved in illegal liquor business came to their house and started quarreling. The women said that the police are raiding their bases on the complaint of Rajkumar. They had threatened to see the family. However, SI did not take the threat seriously and he lost his life. According to sources on the other hand, there is an indication, that SI death was due to heart attack. However, the post mortem report will reveal the exact cause of death. Shashi Bala alleges that the accused had been plotting to murder her husband for the last 15 days. An RWA official warned him about this.

Rajkumar’s daughter Vaishali alleged that the police booth built in the area was only for name sake. Despite the formation of the booth, the business of liquor and narcotics has not stopped in the area. They alleged that the police took huge amounts of money to give cover to illegal drugs business in the locality. SI Rajkumar, is survived by his wife and two daughters , whereas the third daughter has already been married. After the murder of Rajkumar, the family is now afraid of their security. They fear that those who are doing illegal trade can target them.
