Under the intensive campaign launched against illegal liquor traders in UP, similar campaign against such businessmen was organized in Auraiya district. On Sunday, Kotwali Police raided the Kanjad Basti on Dibiypur road on the order of the SP. The police recovered the furnace and liquor being prepared in a house, a woman was also arrested. Police recovered 15 liters of raw liquor and destroyed five hundred kilograms raw material. The woman arrested has been sent to the jail, under section 60/63.
The illegal liquor businessmen in the district should immediately stop their business with immediate effect. Otherwise, harsh action will be taken against them. There will be no other option except going to jail.
SP, Auraiya
There are no strict punishments for illegal liquor makers, therefore they are out of control in the entire state of U.P. The condition is such that in most areas of the district, the raw liquor traders spirits are very high. Two days ago, people died from poisonous liquor in UP and Uttarakhand. After this, strong campaign has been launched against illegal liquor vendors on the orders of the officials.Campaign against illegal liquor is in full swing in other districts of the state.
Saharanpur–
Under the guidance of SSP Saharanpur Chiklana police arrested a raw liquor trader along with 60 liters of raw liquor, 03 liter rectified spirit and 15 kg urea.
Eta –
Subodh wanted under the gangster Act and carries Rs.25000 reward was arrested by the Eta Police for running illegal brewery and recovered 50 liters of raw alcohol, and about 1000 liters raw material and alcohol making equipment.
Meerut –
In Meerut, Brahmapuri station police launched a special campaign against the criminals involved in illegal liquor trade / smuggling, police arrested four accused, and recovered from their possesion 09 cartoons of liquor, one pistol 315 bore and 02 live cartridges.
Banda –
Banda police carried out the campaign and recovered, hundreds of liters of raw alcohol and quintals of raw material used for making raw liquor.
Shamli-
In District Shamli, Jhinjhana police busted the inter-state gang of liquor smugglers and arrested 02 accused, 1000 cartoons of English liquor was recovered from a truck.
Rae Bareli –
In Rae Bareli,Lalganj Police, under the campaign and recovered manufactured and semi-manufactured liquor worth Rs 18 lakh and arrested four youths.
Varanasi –
Varanasi police arrested a liquor smuggler and recovered a possession DCM truck and 560 cartoons of illegal liquor (worth about Rs 50 lakh).
