The way to Delhi goes through UP … So if the number of liquorers in India is increasing, then it is obvious that without UP this can not be possible. Due to the increase in the number of liquorers in the state, U.P Government is earning huge profits. In UP, the revenue earned from English and domestic liquor has increased rapidly in the last few years. Talking of last year, the figures of the first six months of 2018 showed that consumption of Country and English liquor, increased by 30 per cent in this period.

U.P’s excise department figures show that till September 2018, in U.P, 20 million liters of country liquor was sold. On contrary, till September 2017, only 15.35 million liters of country liquor had been sold in UP, In comparison to 2017 there was an increase of 30.3 % in 2018.

It is not, that English liquor consumers are far behind country liquor consumers. The growth rate of English Liquor consumers was actually few percent more than that of country liquor consumers. In the same period, till September 2018, 9.26 crore bottles English liquor was sold, which is 30.8% more than 7.08 million bottles sold during 2017. That means , the number of people consuming English liquor was 0.05 percent more than that of country liquor. If the consumption of the Country and English liquor is increasing, then how Beer can stay behind. The consumption of beer in the same period, also increased by 10 percent. During the year 2017, 16.58 million bottles of Beer were sold, while in 2018, 18.26 million bottles were sold.
