Court asked, does the Government want to do Drugs Business?

Prayagraj: Allahabad High Court has expressed displeasure over the policy of granting temporary licenses to the organizers of cocktail party at the wedding and other ceremonies. The court said that the government is worried about revenue generation but is not concerned about the young generation getting ruined.  There should be Control over alcohol, drugs, and hookabars.



The court asked whether the government wants to do the drugs business. The court has asked the state government to reply on liquor license till December 21. The order of the Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice VK Srivastava has been given on the petition of the Guardian Association of Kanpur and two others.The court said that the government is worried about revenue generation but is not concerned about the young generation getting ruined. It says that due to this policy of the government, children and youth are being affected badly. The family is involved in wedding ceremonies. Permission to serve liquor in the ceremony will increase the curiosity of children towards intoxicants. The Excise Department is busy in revenue generation by allowing the use of liquor, hookahbar in ceremonies. While the state government said that only temporary permission of alcohol is allowed. It is given only on the request of the organizer. This license is given only from 7.30 pm. to 10.30 pm.
