On the instructions of SP N Kolanchi, a team of police and excise department raided,ransacked and destroyed the burning furnaces of liquor in Koyilgarhha which is known stronghold for raw liquor. Large scale brewing equipment were found. The goods were broken down into the drain.

On Thursday, the team raided on information about the production of raw liquor in Kurna Nallah near Koilgarhha village. Destroyed the liquor businessman’s place by entering inside, in a boat. Search operation continued for about two hours. Police seized Mahua and other items which were kept hidden in a huge plastic sack under the drain. However, before the action, liquor smugglers fled from the spot.

Shopkeeper annoyed due to inadequate supply of alcohol
Bhatni, Deoria: The shopkeepers are worried due to short supply in liquor shops. The amateurs have to buy liquor by paying more. There are dozen country liquor shops in Bhatni area. Dewariya liquor godown supplies liquor to the shops. The shortage of domestic liquor has increased the problems of shopkeepers. The licensors complained to the Excise Officer.
