George Washington, the first President of the United States, his photos appear on the dollar in the same way as of, Mahatma Gandhi’s on Indian currency. George also received the status of the Supreme Army General (General of the Armies of America) in America. It means, the position or status granted to George Washington will not be bestowed on anyone else.

George Washington helped America overcome the Civil War and established it as an ideal country. In his honor America’s capital was also named Washington. He became the first President of the United States, he received immense faith, love and respect in America. But George’s whole life is full of controversies and strange peculiarities. He was a big boozer, so much so that he used to spent all his salary on liquor.

In 1789, George Washington used to take 2 percent of the US budget as his salary. At present if he was the president, he would have been earning nearly 12,000 crores in a year. Interestingly, he used to blow up a large part of his salary on liquor and gambling.When George Washington took the oath, he had single tooth left because he used to consume plenty of tobacco. Apart from this, he also suffered from diphtheria, TB, smallpox, constipation, pneumonia, carbuncle, tonsil, malaria, epiglottis and many other diseases. That’s why Washington is considered America’s most ill-president.

It is said that George Washington had become impotent due to overdose of medicines. He did not have any children. Washington used to tell his maid’s boy as his own son, but when the child was born, two years before Washington was on the battlefield and never came home. George had fallen in love with his friend’s wife. He wrote a letter called ‘Votri of Love’ which is still present.
Liquor factory
George Washington had his own whiskey factory, where 45,000 liters of liquor was produced in a year. It does not mean that he used to consume whatever was produced. Wine was also sold from this factory. There is also a strange coincidence about his death. Washington was ill, the gentleman named Albin Rollings came to take his blood. Washington put his arm in front and said, ‘Do not be afraid take as much as you want.’ Albin took five bottles (80 oz) of blood in four rounds. After this he became unconscious. His Secretary Colonel Tobias Lear was called. Washington came to senses in between, instructed his funeral, and died after a while.
