It has been three years since Bollywood’s famous heroine Pooja Bhatt had not consumed liquor. Pooja had not cosumed a single drop of liquor after 24th of December 2016. Christmas, New Year and her birthday all passed by in the meantime but she evaded drinks. It was not easy for Pooja at this age. She talks openly about this.

What Pooja said should be considered not less than a discourse for liquor addicted people. Pooja recently in an interview to a daily newspaper in Mumbai said that “I want to break stigma associated with alcoholism. Women are discouraged from taking help in this matter, because it is a matter of shame for the family. We can not tell our weakness, it becomes cancer for us. “According to Pooja, her father Mahesh Bhatt helped her very much in this.

The incident dates back to December 21, 2016 when Mahesh Bhatt called Pooja. Both were talking about the leaders. Keeping the phone, Mahesh Bhatt said, ‘dear, I love you.’ Pooja said, ‘Pops, I love you too. and in my view you are the most beloved father in the world. Mahesh said, ‘If you love me then love yourself, because I live within you ‘ This was the moment when Pooja realized that some things are not said directly. Pooja was drinking liquor and at that time, she decided that now no more liquor.
After few days it was Christmas, but Pooja kept her phone on silent mode on Christmas day, and listening to the songs sat in her house with her four cats. Ate food and slept without getting drunk. The next day, she left for holidays to many places including Delhi and Lahore. Before when she used to go out on holidays, wine was the main source of entertainment. But this time she did not felt the need.

But now the problem has started. Pooja’s birthday was coming nearer, Friends will come and pressurize her to have drinks,and she may be compelled to have drinks. Pooja himself also thought that a shot can be taken. Everyone came but on that day, Pooja did not even take a single drop of wine. It was a big victory. It is very difficult for the person who is addicted to liquor. Pooja has been brought up in the world of Bollywood, and drinking is common there, and at the age of 23, she tasted her first cigarette. She says that never took cocaine, but she is being drinking liquor from her teenage.

Pooja has seen the effect of liquor. Liquor spoils the body. Disturbs the mind and spoils your thoughts about those with whom you go out roaming. Liquor played a major role in the breakdown of the marriage of Pooja’s parent. Pooja’s husband also used to drink liquor, that relationship also came to an end. Her friend also died due to liquor. But now she is firm. There is bar in her house. Wine is available for friends. But the Pooja keeps control over her selves.
