Love For Liquor Costs U.P Minister Dearly

The incident dates back to about nineteen years, when the CM of UP happened to be very quiet natured man. He didn’t even talk to anyone loudly. He was not involved in any kind of meeting. He followed his routine strictly. He was very cautious about his health and abided by the rules. Under which every officer or leader coming to the Chief Minister’s residence had to get off his shoes under the table placed in the corridor and wear a whisker clean slippers and then enter the room.

A cabinet minister who lived in the neighborhood of the Chief Minister’s residence did not followed the rules. This minister was fond of drinking. In those days, there were regular parties held at his official residence, and brands like 100 pipers and Black Label which were newly launched in the market were also part of it.There was no shortage of Liquor and kebabs in his parties. Apart from the editors and senior reporter of various newspapers and channels, all the ministers of the state government were present in these parties. In the colorful atmosphere of the party, newsmen also received news from the ministers, due to which this minister was favorites among the newsmen and they started ignoring the major cases of his department.

As his position in the government got elevated he became reckless in his behaviour. It was in his habit to ignore the protocol of meeting CM, and there was a time when he regularly after drinking liquor started reaching C.M’s residence .The CM felt bad as he didn’t liked the attitude of his minister, but he ignored it. But one day he crossed the limits, the minister reached the CM house at 11 o’clock in alcoholic condition. The CM was sleeping at that time, the minister urged his staff to wake him up. When the C.M came to the drawing room murmuring, he saw that the intoxicated minister stood up on seeing him, but he could not as he was in alcoholic condition. Seeing the condition of the minister, the patience of the CM got out of control he called his security officer and ordered them to take the minister out of his residence, and ordered that this minister should be denied entry during day time also.

The CM’s order was heard by the minister but he could not understand anything, and in the meanwhile, the CM’s security in charge took him out of the room and then he was thrown out of the CM’s house. CM told former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee about this incident, he said that you have done well, it is okay to not meet this kind of a person. The C.M took this matter seriously and never met this minister till he was head of the cabinet. The minister, who was shown the door by the then CM, later had to change several parties to keep his political career on track. Nowadays he is in BJP.
