“CHEERS” What a word!!! A word full of hope, happiness and love, with this six letter word people celebrate around the globe. Well whenever I am being asked about my choice of poison I am all up for a glass of whiskey or scotch that’s what appeals to me the most and the best part is my husband knows how much I like it exactly and he makes sure that I have a perfect peg every time I have one. The feeling of giddiness that comes with a peg or two occasionally makes me feel like no one is better than me , I am the best and can do or say what I want and people will follow my lead. Sometimes it also becomes a medium of letting out my emotions, words which might not make much sense when I am sober, which might not give me a leverage in front of others after I have spoken them while I am sober but are considered okay when I am in a happy mode and a peg or two down. I still remember vividly when I went to honeymoon and had stayed in a wonderful hotel the welcome drink that we received was an orchid cocktail and god what a drink it was smooth just glided in my mouth and the hard drink that was added to it made it that much more alluring .

For me drinking is sometimes a means for removal of body fatigue, I remember when we shifted to our new home me and my husband we were so tired after the three days of continuous house management that we automatically opened a bottle at our third night and enjoyed a peg or two which helped us celebrate that moment in our house it gave us some time to admire our efforts that went into turning that house to our new home, Those few drinks made us feel relaxed and bask in that moment of newness that entered in our life in a face of our new home. So why is it that a stigma is attached with the word liquor and women? Till the time we women can keep ourselves and our liquor in check it’s perfectly fine to let loose, let go of all the baggage that we women lift on our shoulders all day long 24X7 365 days the pressure of performing at work, making sure you are an ideal wife a good mother, daughter, daughter in law and that all the aspects that surrounds you in your life should just be perfect and that there should be no mistakes no slips ups , Well I think we are humans and not super humans and no matter what , we should live life that way. That’s what the life is made up of mistakes, ups and downs well even the lines on an ECG when straight are declared as death so my advice to all the beautiful and gorgeous women out there is to live life to the fullest and never miss an opportunity to do CHEERS with your friends and family.
