“Muchein Hon To Natthulal Jaise ……..”
If you do not remember anything from this dialogue, then it will be considered that you need almonds for rejuvenating your brain. The first thing that comes to mind with word sharaabi is Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Sharaabi’, the dialogues in this film along with songs were superhit. It is said that if someone does not drink, then he can not act as a drunkard. Amitabh Bachchan, who never drank liquor in his life, proved everybody wrong by acting as a drunkard on the big screen. Amitabh’s ‘Sharaabi’ was released 35 years ago on 18 May 1984.
Amitabh had once said a lot about this film in his blog, also, how and when the idea of the film was conceived? He had told that in 1983 they were on a world tour. For the film world, it was a unique film tour. They were going from New York City to Trinidad and Tobago on the flight and Prakash Mehra was accompanying him. During the conversation, Prakash Mehra told him, we should make a film on the relationship between father and son, in which son is a drunkard. The flight had reached half way and was at an altitude of about 35,000 feet in the air, above the Atlantic Ocean. Maybe everything was to be settled at such a height and it was done. Nobody asked how the film would be made and when it would be made.
Due to Girish Karnad Shashi Kapoor Changed His Liquor Brand
The film started and on the first day of the shoot, Amitabh noticed one thing, his dialogues were too long. Most of the time his character in the film was in the state of intoxication. On this, he told Prakash Mehra that if the dialogues remain so long, the film duration will be five hours. Because if a person is in a state of intoxication, it takes time to speak lengthy dialogue. Therefore, he advised Prakash Mehra to keep his dialogues in the film short and it was done.
Johnny Whiskey A Famous Bollywood Actor
Amitabh kept his left hand in his pocket throughout the film. This was done in a compulsion but for the fans it became a style. Actually Amitabh had a severe injury, according to what he had told, a Diwali bomb fell on his hands while shooting ‘Sharaabi’. The shooting could not be canceled, and the date also could not be further extended. He also didn’t wanted any kind of delay. That’s why he did not stop shooting. My hand was severely injured. It seemed like a raw roasted chicken. Every part of his hand was melted, but he did not leave his work. Amitabh kept his hand in his pocket to hide that injury and it became his signature style.
A Drunkard Who Never Consumed Liquor
The dialogues that were hit in the film were also amazing, ‘Humari Zindagi ka Tamboo Teen Bambuon Par Khada Hai Shayari, Shabab Aur Aap’. ‘Sharaabi ko Sharaabi nahin to kya Pujari Kahoge? Gehun ko Gehun Nahin To Kya Jwari Kahoge.
‘Jisne Nahin Pee Whiskey Kismat Phoot Gayi Uski’ If I have stuck like a label on the liquor bottle, then you are the one who has pasted that label. They are not human, they are machine, such a machine that only prints currency and eat currency’.
