Researchers collected data from all the people aged 21 and over in California who were provided surgical treatment (emergency surgery), emergency medical care, between 2005 and 2009. About 1.48 million diabetic patients, about 1.8 percent or about 2 lakh 68 thousand patients were identified as having liquor.
After analyzing this data, they found that the risk of heart attack due to liquor is as dangerous as the cause of diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. Researchers say that if the threat of liquor was completely removed, then only in the United States alone, 34 thousand of heart attacks, 91 thousand patients of Heart failure would decrease.
