Alcohol is not often seen as a good habit in the society, but the mango liquor created in Alirajpur of Madhya Pradesh is proving to be a panacea for cough, cold and pneumonia, because the patient gets healthy by its massage.
Mango liquor is made in the town of Alirajpur. This wine is made from vapour method. Pradeep Singh, who manufactures this alcohol, explains that mango made from alcohol does not need to be consumed, but instead coughs get cured by massaging it on chest, back and hands. This alcohol does not contain ethyl and methyl-like substances which are harmful.
Singh says that children do not need medication when coughing, or during colds or pneumonia, after massaging alcohol made from mango, the cough stored inside the body comes out in a day or two and the child get rid of these diseases.
To make mango wine, juice is collected and heated in a vessel. The steam emanating from it is collected through pipes in another vessel. After repeating this process three to four times, the mango wine is ready. This wine is like spirit.
