Sasaram A doctor was arrested by the police on Thursday night for entering the quarter of the health workers after drinking, located at the Dehri sub-divisional hospital premises.
Health workers informed the police on the phone. After this the police reached the spot and arrested the doctor. Dr. Ashit Ranjan, is currently working as a medical officer in the Sanjauli Primary Health Center. A year ago, he was also on the Deputation at the local sub-divisional hospital.
On the night of the incident, he came in his car to the sub-divisional hospital premises. Police have seized it from the spot. Police Officer Dharmendra Kumar said that the police has taken action on the application of Nityanand Pandey, who has been working as a clerk in the Nokha Primary Health Center.
The police official said that in the application, the health worker has said that on Thursday night at 10:30 pm, doctor Ashish Ranjan came in his car (BR 26 PA / 2814). We were in our room.
When the door was opened listening to the vehicle’s voice, Dr. Ashish Ranjan started abusing and demanded money. He was drunk and was falling again and again. Despite request he kept on abusing. After the doctor’s ruckus, the police were called in by informing.
Questions arising on the doctor’s arrival at the scene
Local people discussed about the purpose of the doctor who was posted in Sanjhauli to reach here. Some people said that they have seen him outside the sub-divisional hospital several times in the past . When he is not posted here, what would have been the purpose of committing a ruckus by coming here in intoxicated condition.
Regardless of the matter, the city police chief said that the police is investigating the matter by lodging the preliminary complaint. A medical examination of the intoxicated physician was done and sent to jail after confirmation of drinking. He told that they have not received any written complaint from the doctor for the time being.
