They found that 40 percent of them were consuming alcohol during pregnancy. Of these 333 women were such that they consumed alcohol every day. According to researchers, excessive consumption of alcohol means drinking 5-point alcohol or half a bottle of wine or two bottles of beer in less time.

Through the study, researchers found the connection between excessive drinking and infant weight loss. According to BBC News, consuming alcohol in controlled quantities does not endanger children’s physical appearance.

According to Professor John Wright, drinking of alcohol by mother may lead to many problems in the future for the child, but consuming alcohol in high concentration affects the physical appearance of the child and he is smaller than normal children, and its weight is also low.

Drinking during pregnancy is harmful to Child

Drinking during pregnancy reduces the development of child. In a research, it has been found that children of the women who drink excessive alcohol every day during pregnancy are not properly developed.

Scientists at Howard Medical School found that height of the children of women drinking three units of alcohol per day is less in comparison to the children of women who do not drink alcohol.

It was found in the study that this effect also occurs when the age of such children increases. Researchers have tested group of 85 pregnant women, those who consume at least two hundred fifty millilitres of alcohol per day under their study.

This group of women was compared to a group of 63 pregnant women who did not drink or drink less. Dr. Robert Carter, who led the study, said, “We found that the birth weight, height and head circumference.” of children born to more alcoholic mother was less.
